3-Year Contemporary Dance Education

The 3-Year Contemporary Dance Education at DANCEWORKS berlin is a full-time program designed for aspiring dancers. It begins each winter semester (October) or summer semester (April) and runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The curriculum includes a comprehensive schedule of dance and theory classes, inspiring masterclasses, practical workshops, and community events.

Curriculum

The program consists of three years: 1. First Year: Focus on foundational skills, technique, strength, endurance, and body awareness through ballet, modern dance techniques, improvisation, and composition. 2. Second Year: Development of technical and artistic skills with a focus on contemporary influences and increased performance opportunities. 3. Third Year: Emphasis on artistic identity, refinement of expression, and preparation for a professional career, culminating in the development of a final piece and an artistic thesis.

Classes are held Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Cost

• Tuition fees are €2,880 per semester (equivalent to €480 monthly) for EU students.
• A discount of €260 is available for full annual payment.
• An additional fee of €30 applies for participation in the Company class.

Audition

Admission requires passing an audition that includes ballet, modern dance, and contemporary dance, along with a short solo performance (approximately 2 minutes).
