Associate Company 2026–2028 — Bristol Old Vic

Overview

Bristol Old Vic seeks two theatre companies based in the South West of England to join as Associate Companies from July 2026 through June 2028. The programme supports organisations at critical developmental stages.

What's provided

• £15,000 bursary across two years (£7,500 annually) per company
• Year one: building relationships across Bristol Old Vic's departments (producing, artist development, participation, creative learning)
• Year two: customised support addressing the company's specific growth objectives through mentoring, strategic planning, or R&D time

Eligibility

• Based within Arts Council England South West region
• Demonstrated professional track record with ambitious, high-quality theatre or live performance work
• Established artistic identity and practice
• Companies whose primary practice isn't playwright-led are particularly welcomed — devising, movement, performance art, experimental forms
