Coalesce Dance Theatre [ @coalescedancetheatre ] is seeking one versatile performer to join the research & development phase of a new rural touring dance theatre production for children and families.

✨ ABOUT THE PROJECT:
Building on the success of The Old Green Time Machine and Mika and the Polar Bear, this new production explores our relationship with the sea through stories gathered from coastal communities around England.

The work will combine:
• Dance theatre
• Poetry
• Music & song
• Audience participation

👀 WHO THEY’RE LOOKING FOR:
• Strong contemporary dancer
• Experience performing for children & families
• Comfortable with acting and character work
• Experience working in rural touring or non-traditional performance settings
• Creative and collaborative artist

✨ Particularly interested in performers with:
• Singing experience
• Musical skills
• Folk and/or acoustic music background

⚠️ Applicants must be based in the North West of England, as accommodation is not provided.

📅 August 10–14, 2026
📍 Z-arts Hulme, Manchester 🇬🇧

⚠️ Availability for all R&D dates is required.

💰 WHAT’S OFFERED:
• Paid above ITC minimum daily rates
• Travel expenses covered
• Accommodation not provided
