About this opportunity
The Dance Education: Didactics & Methods program at SENECA INTENSIV is an 8-week intensive module designed for dance teachers. This program focuses on didactic and methodological seminars in the area of dance education, providing participants with essential basics for professional dance lessons. The curriculum emphasizes didactic thinking, methodological diversity, and the development of responsible teaching practices.
Participants will engage in a combination of theoretical learning and guided teaching situations, ensuring practical security in their teaching from the outset. Additionally, there are opportunities to deepen one's dance technique through various dance courses offered during the educational year. The program also includes optional participation in selected training courses from the Dance and Physical Theater Educational Year programs, which provide further insights into movement and teaching approaches.
The program runs from August 24, 2026, until October 18, 2026. Classes are held Monday to Thursday from 8:30 AM to 2:45 PM, excluding public holidays and Berlin school holidays.
The tuition fee for the program is €1,200. Payment in installments is available at no additional cost.
This program is suitable for individuals aged 20 to 60 who are motivated, reliable, and open to new ideas. It is ideal for those looking to professionalize their teaching style, gain a well-founded qualification for work in cultural education, prepare for further studies in dance education, or enrich their artistic work with new educational perspectives.
To apply, candidates must submit an artistic curriculum vitae and a short letter of motivation explaining their interest in the program and their goals after graduation. The application process includes a personal interview, which can be conducted on-site or via video call. An application fee of €30 is required, which covers the jury's expenses and is non-refundable in case of cancellation or no-show.
The program is conducted in English and German, with support for international participants who are expected to actively work on learning German.
