Foundation Degree (FdA) in Contemporary Circus and Physical Theatre

This program is designed to help you grow into a skilled, versatile artist with your own unique creative voice. You’ll be encouraged to push the boundaries of circus, physical theatre, and performance.

Curriculum

• Year 1: Introduction to aerial, acrobatics, and juggling; specialization in two skill areas; additional classes in physical theatre, movement, fitness & conditioning, contextual studies, and critical thinking; performance opportunities including ensemble shows.
• Year 2: Further specialization; exploration of performance styles; development of employability skills; conclusion with ensemble shows performed for a public audience.

Schedule

• Induction week: Begins on 2026-09-07.
• Next audition dates: 2026-07-06.
• Training takes place five days a week at the Kingswood campus.

Cost

• Tuition fee: £9,790 for the academic year 2026-2027.

Who it's for

This program welcomes individuals with interests in dance, drama, comedy, gymnastics, parkour, martial arts, and more, regardless of prior circus experience.

Audition

• Minimum requirements: C,D,D at A Level or MMP in a Level 3 BTEC Extended Diploma.
• Audition workshops are held on 2026-02-13 & 2026-02-14 or 2026-05-15 & 2026-05-16.
