Intensive Program at Circus Lab

We are proud to offer a world-class intensive program for qualified students who wish to pursue serious training in the Circus Arts. Intensive students will be provided with the opportunity to work with the highest qualified instructors in each discipline, attend workshops and learn about the industry beyond the skills taught on the equipment. Intensive students have many opportunities to be cast in community events, international circus festivals, TEDx talks, Circus Lab productions, theatrical shows, as well as television and media projects.

Curriculum Focus of Studies includes training options such as aerial silks, trapeze, hand-balancing, tumbling, aerial hoop, contortion, and object manipulation. Additional studies include act-development, performance, artistry, drama, acting, rigging, nutrition, and stage-presence training.

Who it's for Students ages 12 to 18 who show physical aptitude, commitment to training in the circus arts, an open mind to creativity and self-expression on stage, and a strong desire to learn are accepted on a year-round basis. Circus experience is not necessary, although a background in gymnastics, cheer, vaulting, dance, etc. is beneficial.

Audition Admission to the intensive program is by audition only. The audition assesses strength, flexibility, alignment, and hand-eye coordination. Auditions can be obtained through inquiry or by instructor recommendation.

Schedule Training can range between 5 and 15 hours per week, with training times available Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4-9pm.
