Master in Contemporary Dance Performance

Equilibrio Dinamico presents the first University Master's program in Contemporary Dance Performance in Italy, validated by the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (NSCD) in Leeds (UK). This Master's program aligns with British higher education standards and is recognized globally.

Curriculum

The Master's program lasts for one year, from October 2026 to July 2027, and is structured as a complete university course that integrates practical and theoretical training. The academic year is divided into three main modules designed to guide students from technique to creation, culminating in real company experience.

Who it's for

The program is aimed at candidates with a foundational training in dance and a defined professional orientation, particularly those wishing to deepen, mature, and transform their artistic practice and identity. Candidates may include:

• Students with a bachelor's degree, preferably in literary, artistic, or related disciplines.
• Dancers with proven professional experience in contemporary dance.
• Candidates with references from recognized institutions such as pre-professional international programs, dance universities, young companies, or choreographic centers.

Audition

Admission will occur through a clear and accessible procedure for all students:

• A two-and-a-half-minute improvisation video to assess stage presence, movement quality, listening, and artistic identity.
• A biography or CV to understand the candidate's educational background and previous experiences.
• A motivational letter expressing intentions, visions, and goals regarding the Master's program and professional growth.

Applications are open until June 1, 2026, unless the maximum number of places is reached earlier.

Language

The Master's program is conducted in English. Students are required to have a B2 level English certification (CEFR) or equivalent. Candidates without certification may obtain it during the Master's program, provided they present the certification by March 1, 2027.
