Residency Unlimited

Residency Unlimited, located in Brooklyn, is characterized by a high level of engagement. Before the residency begins, there is contact with the artist/curator regarding possible wishes and needs. Based on this, a tailored residency is developed. During the residency, technical and logistical support is provided, along with targeted workshops and weekly studio visits from local and international guests. Residents are expected to actively participate in discussion platforms and engage with the local scene and other residents. Residency Unlimited provides a shared workspace. Residents are responsible for finding their own accommodation and, if necessary, a studio. Residency Unlimited can assist in finding an affordable studio.

Who it's for A residency at Residency Unlimited is intended for artists in all disciplines that fall within the Arts Decree (music, dance, visual arts, performing arts, music theater, etc.). The applicant must be involved in the art scene within the Flemish Community and be professionally active in the arts sector. The resident must be willing to collaborate with the local community and work on a concrete project.

Schedule A residency at Residency Unlimited lasts 4 months, from August to November.

Cost A financial contribution of 1,500 euros per month is provided for living costs associated with the stay and 1,500 euros per month for housing costs. Additionally, the resident receives an amount of 1,000 euros for all travel costs related to the stay.

Application Apply for a residency grant via the KIOSK web application. The application must be submitted in English. The submission deadline is February 1 of the year in which the residency takes place.
