Studio Residency for Research & Creation

Overview

Workspacebrussels is a Brussels workplace for performing artists (dance, performance, theatre and crossovers). Its studio residency supports research, experimentation and creation, giving artists time and space to develop new work.

What's provided

• Several weeks of studio space across different partner locations in Brussels (a residency lasts between 1 and 3 weeks)
• A flat fee of €750 (VAT incl.) per selected project towards travel expenses and lunch
• Accommodation for international artists (two bedrooms with single beds)
• Basic technical equipment, library access and communal Tuesday lunches

Eligibility

Professional artists and collectives working in dance, performance, theatre or crossover/experimental forms. Applications are reviewed twice a year.

Deadline

Apply by 1 December 2026 for a residency between August and December 2027. (A separate 1 April 2026 deadline — for residencies Jan–July 2027 — has already passed.)
