Summer Intensive — CREAT Valencia (Circus)

CREAT opens its doors in June and July for the Summer Intensive — a high-level training program in a fully equipped circus space in Valencia, Spain, guided by a qualified teaching team. CREAT (founded 2020) is a member of FEDEC and FEFPAC.

Dates & format

The 2026 edition runs 15 June – 24 July. You can take part in the full period (6 weeks) or in two-week blocks: 15–26 June, 29 June–10 July, or 13–24 July. The program recurs each summer.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 9:00–15:15:

• 9:00–9:45 Physical preparation
• 9:45–11:15 Group classes (acrobatics, movement, handstands)
• 11:30–14:30 Specialty classes (groups of max 4, split into two slots with a lunch break)
• 14:30–15:15 Flexibility

Group classes: 15 hours/week. Specialty: 7.5 hours/week (1.5h per day). Free training every afternoon 15:15–19:00. Optional extra private or small-group classes can be added in the afternoons.

Specialties (choose one)

Silks, Straps, Aerial Hoop, Trapeze, Rope, Chinese Pole, Acrodance, Handstands, Hand-to-hand, Contortion, Juggling.

Who it's for

Designed for people with at least 2 years of circus experience, amateur or professional.

Cost

• Full 6 weeks: €1,200 (early bird) / €1,500 (standard)
• Per fortnight: €450 (early bird) / €560 (standard)

Early-bird video deadline 1 March (results 3 March, payment 6 March); standard video deadline 26 April (results 28 April, payment 1 May). Refunds: 50% until 15 May, none from 16 May. Accommodation is not included (CREAT offers a shared room at €15/night, 2 min walk, or a community sublet WhatsApp group).

Facilities

Four equipped spaces: Hangar 1 (450 m², aerial — 10 rigging points, Chinese pole, trapeze), Hangar 2 (420 m², dance floor + trampoline + 6–8 rigging points), Acro Studio (140 m², padded floor acrobatics), Creation Studio (400 m², 10×10 m linoleum + 6 rigging points). Note: spaces have mechanical ventilation but no air conditioning.
