Artist in Residence

Seanse is a national development arena and meeting place for art production in all genres. We are based at Volda University College, which gives us access to one of the country's broadest areas of competence in art subjects, as well as good premises for artistic work. Seanse is the only center in the country that offers artist in residence for projects in all art genres. Applications for the artist in residence program for 2026 are now closed, and applications for the next residency open in January 2027. The artist residencies are arranged in fixed weeks, specifically weeks 24, 25, 42, and 43. In total, about 20-25 art projects will be granted a residency each year.
